Spendless was under pressure to maintain effective operations in line with rapid growth in the online retail market. The main priority was to improve the efficiency of the company’s legacy IT infrastructure, to enable better use of data and analytics and a more integrated customer experience across online and in-store.
With only two people in the IT team, an added challenge was that Spendless required a scalable system that could function efficiently at all times, including the busy holiday periods. In retail the customer experience is an important part of the offer, and is formed by the customer’s first encounter with a brand.

We assisted Spendless to build a national WAN to increase the effectiveness of the company’s Australian systems. Key components of the solution focused on the delivery of connectivity across a wide variety of locations, including CBD, wider metro, and regional areas.
This meant there was greater visibility of purchasing trends and the movement of stock, enabling Spendless to improve the delivery of products.
The range of technologies offered as part of the solution included DSL, nbn, and fibre, which were all connected with one IP WAN solution to create a highly secure, seamless and easily managed network.
